August 27, 201411 yr Yo, I have a problem where my aray isn't loading! Could it be a faulty USB stick as I get - waiting for /dev/disk by label/unraid not found error- while booting? My system: Norco 4224, Exqi 5.1, zfs + unraid 5.0.5 Plz help! TY PS: Haven't changed anything , just turned off server yesterday and booted it this morning!
August 27, 201411 yr You could download the basic version of unRAID to a new USB key and try that. If it works you will know that your USB key is faulty.
August 27, 201411 yr Author I'm using a vmdk together with an usb stick, when I put the stick into my pc I can read the data with no problems! Will try your solution and try basic Unraid.
August 27, 201411 yr Author Damn, Each time I try to make_bootable I get error that the volume label must be UNRAID.... IT IS Tried several sticks!
August 27, 201411 yr Author Very Strange... After looking for a solution and going through tons of posts I tried to readd the Cruzer Micro to my VM and added it as an USB device. This worked but I am still wondering why everything suddenly stopped working in the first place.... Could it be due to vibrations , that the cruzer gotten a bit loose, and that ESxi didn't detect it anymore, hence deleting it from the passthrough hardware? What are your thoughts? thanks!
August 27, 201411 yr Maybe but I wouldn't think so as it gave an error that unRAID wasn't found. I know unRAID can be picky about USB keys hence why I use a Kingston G2 Mobilite reader and before that I used the Sandisk Cruizer Fit as recommended but Limetech. I can't comment on other keys as I have never used them, especially when a Cruiser Fit is £5 from Amazon.
