petjek
Hi, I'm setting up an unRaid server for a friend of mine. Would it be a good idea to already set up with v6beta8? She is running it at her business to share data with few employees and to remotely access (VPN) when not in the office. It is not going to have many plugins installed. At least SNAP will be used to do backups to a manually connected usb harddrive (connect - snap automount - script running rsync - unmount - detach - take drive home - happiness). I know I can do all this with v5.0.5 right now. Actually on the one hand there ist no reason to start up with a usually buggy beta. On the other hand I have no idea if it will be a big thing to update to v6-stable later if necessary. Recommendations anyone? Thx in advance petjek Link to comment
Fireball3
Use the 5.0.5! v6 is heavy beta and for experienced users. Link to comment
SSD
I agree that for business and with the requirements you state go with version 5.0.5. Upgrading to version 6 will be a larger effort than typical, but not difficult either. It would not deter the decision. Link to comment
