October 5, 201411 yr Hi guys, I've been running my unraid NAS for about 4 years with few dramas. I have recently moved the unit to a new house/ network and when I try to connect I can't find it on the network. I have run the ifconfig eth0 command and I don't get the inet addr:xxx.xxx.x.xx Bcast:xxx.xxx.x.xxx Mask:xxx.xxx.xxx.x line that I can see others get. Does this mean my network card is cactus and I need to buy another one? The rest of the info on that command seems fine. When I run ethtool eth0 I get all the normal stuff I would expect. Any thoughts? thanks
October 5, 201411 yr Community Expert The chances are that the unRAID server is configured for a fixed IP address that is incompatible with the new network. What output to you get if you run the command cat /boot/config/network.cfg from the console? Also give the IP address of a device (e.g. PC/Mac) that is working OK on the new network.

Hi itimpi, I get No such file or directory. The IP address of my laptop is 192.168.0.9
October 6, 201411 yr Author Are you actually running unRAID v6 or v5? Good question. I think it is 4.something. What command can I run to tell me that? I have looked through the forum and can't find a reference to looking it up.
October 7, 201411 yr Author Ok, I am on v4.7 And as of another reboot while copying my syslog file, I am now fully operational again. I'm not sure what happened to make it work. thanks
