Manticore
So I'm about to finish pre-clearing my 250 GB Corsair x100 ssd. I'm also clearing a 6tb WD Red. The ssd is going to be done in a hour or so, but the WD Red might take a few days (3 pre-clears) Can I stop my array and add the ssd without interrupting the pre-clear on the WD drive?. EDIT: I went to myMain and noticed it giving me the "HPA ?" warning on the ssd. But its showing as 250GB. Is this going to be an issue? I'm using a Asus Sabertooth x79 board Link to comment

garycase
The results are fine -- HOWEVER, there's no reason to do a pre-clear on an SSD Don't worry about the HPA warning --- it's a false positive. You can suppress it in MyMain if you want; or just ignore it. ... and Yes, you can Stop your array and add the SSD without impacting the ongoing pre-clear on the WD Red. Just don't reboot the system Link to comment
