November 30, 201411 yr hello, I'd like to replace current flash drive that has 5.0.rc12 with a bigger flash drive and the newer 5.0.6. I didn't want to copy the config folder over from the old drive as there was a lot of clutter from various plugins. The only files i copied were disk.cfg, ident.cfg, network.cfg and share.cfg. The old configuration had parity drive, data drive and another unassigned data drive. The server comes up just fine, however when I try to assign the data disk to the proper slot, it is picked up with a blue dot and not a green one as when I stop the old array. I'd like to know if that's normal and I should just start the array, make sure the data is there and the re-assign the parity disk to the proper slot later.

November 30, 201411 yr Author thank you, I just want to make sure the data will stay intact. if that's the case, would this be the proper course of action? 1. booting up the server 2. assigning the data drive to the data slot 3. start the array 4. validate the content 5. stopping the array 6. assigning the parity drive to the parity slot 7. starting the array 8. watching the parity being rebuild
November 30, 201411 yr Author thank you, that was helpful. The array came up and is running a parity check right now.
