3 WD 3TB SATA 6Gbps Internal Hard Drives $299 @ newegg

Featured Replies

As one of its daily deals, Newegg offers the Western Digital 3TB Red Serial ATA 6Gb/s Internal Hard Drive 3-Pack, model no. WD30EFRX, for $299.99 with free shipping. At $99.99 each, that's essentially tied with our Black Friday week mention of a single drive and the lowest total price we could find for this quantity by $42. (We saw a 2-pack for the same per-unit price three weeks ago.) It features a 64MB cache and runs at 7200 rpm. Deal ends today.

You may want to subscribe to Newegg's "Shell Shocker Deals" so you'll get notification e-mails for those deals.  These are all time-limited deals only good for a few hours during the day ... in the case of the disks above, that particular deal was good from 12:00AM - 959AM Pacific Time

All Newegg shell shocker deals are good through the end of the day - 12 Midnight PT (3 AM ET the next day).

Not true.    There are typically several DIFFERENT Shell Shocker deals each day ... and each expires when the next one starts.  For example, today's Shell Shocker special has 5 different deals -- the first (an AMD A8-6600K combo) good from midnight - 9:59AM; the 2nd (WD 3TB EZRX) good from 10AM-12:59PM; the 3rd (ViewSonic monitor) good from 1PM - 2:59PM; the 4th (Asus Notebook) good from 3PM - 5:59PM; and the last (Patriot Viper Memory) good from 6PM - 11:59PM.

While what you said is true based on the info from Newegg, my experience has been that once a Shell Shocker deal starts, it's good through the rest of the day.

For example, today's 1st Shell Shocker deal is a Polk Audio CS2 Series II Center Channel Speaker (Black) Single for $99.99 and was supposed to be good from 12 AM - 9:59 AM PT. Which means it is now over. Except it's not.

If you go to the site for that item - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290212 - you'll still see it available for $99.99 and lists Shell Shocker in the item description.

Same with the other "expired" deals.
