February 18, 201511 yr want to get this, but the reviews are not good. any thoughts? I know its hard to go by reviews for products bought 3 years ago that are now failing. but, Id rather spend $30 more and get something that wont fail in the conceivable future.

Id never get a brown box from newegg, retail box only from them, all the reviews are from them playing cardboard kickball.

I just got some 6TB HGST NAS drives (come in retail boxing) that were inadequately packed. I feared for them even in the retail packaging. But after 5 preclear cycles they checked out fine. But I'm staying away from newegg for more than single drive purchases since they are back to not knowing how to properly package things again.
