Unraid v6 plugin updater info

Featured Replies

I am having some drama's with my unraid server and would like some information about how the updater system works.

The issue i have is that i am running a virtualised firewall (sophos UTM) and everything works fine. The issue is when i swap the firewall over to a PFsense firewall the ability to update unraid breaks and i get a whole bunch of weird dns related issues occuring.

Now i know 100% this is to do with pfsense and not unraid but what i would like to know is some info about the updater so i can track this issue down.

- where do the updates get pulled from

- how are they downloaded to unraid program / protocol

- is there a log of the updater ?

- any other useful information which might help me solve this

Both my pfsense and sophos configurations are default ie standard dhcp, standard pppoe for internet connection nothing more. What is even more annoying is i can stop the pfsense firewall and start the sophos firewall and everything will work, in whatever order i try.

thanks
