Unraid V4.7 1 Drive Error + 1 Drive Missing

Featured Replies

Hello,

i've got a Problem with my Unraid build.

After changing the PSU one of my Drives got a Red Ball (the Drive got a Headcrash), and suddenly another Driver is missing.

In the Screenshot you can see Drive 4 and 9 got an error.

4 is the one with the Headcrash.

9 ist the one missing.

I've checked all cabling allready.

Is there any possibility to repair this and Update to V6?

I attached some Logs and a Screenshot, i hope you can help me.

Thank you

Regards

Dragoro

unRAID cannot recover data with two drives missing.

However if drive 9 is actually OK, and you can resolve why it is missing then recovery of drive 4 may well be feasible.  You probably need to check all the cabling to drive 9 is OK.  Also, is it being seen by your BIOS - if not it may well have failed as well.

Hey there,

i just put the Drive into a other pc and it is not recognisable but it sounds ok (no odd sound).

I will try to change the board of the HDD with an other drive. I will post my Solution here.

Thanks for our Help.

I have the exact same issue. Is there a way to tell unraid to ignore the redball and continue as if it were green?

and then rebuild the truly missing drive?

I am certain my redball happened from an unsafe shutdown, the drive is 100% ok.
