Cache Pool

I have 2 500GB SSD's attached to my main board for purposes of a cache pool.

However I am only able to add one to the array, the other is detected, but not able to be added to the pool ?

No Where how do I do that ?

When you select "file system type".

They have to be btrfs to use them in a pool.

I don't get a choice to select File system type it says Auto ?

The array has to be stopped to make changes to the file system type.

I did stop the array but I don't see the abilty to chose File system type ?

Click on the disk name just to the right of the little colored icon beside the disk(s).

Then you can choose the file system type.  Once you choose a new type, you'll have to check a box that says it's okay to format the disks after you Start the array.

All of this is done.. But I still do not see where/how to create the cache pool ?

Just below where you assign the cache drive(s) it asks how many drives to use .... that's for the pool.

I brought this problem up to them before. Changing cache and array slots is not very intuitive. I think what you are experiencing is the same. You need to stop the array, go to the bottom of the main page and decrease your array slots by one. Then go to cache drive page and increase your cache drive slots by one. These  should be linked. So if you want to increase the number of cache drives then the number of array drive slots should be decreased if available.  Now if you really want to use the cache pool option is another discussion.

That Did it.. Thanks a bunch..

You are 100% correct this is not intuitive and its not in the Wiki or Manual ?
