July 15, 201510 yr Hi all I've done some searching around and although I found a bit of an rsync guide it still assume some prior linux knowledge. I think i'll be fine with getting it working once installed, I just can't work out how to install it...I thought that unmenu, etc was not the way to go now that Docker is here? TIA Ben.

What makes you think you need to install it? Rsync is already included in the standard unRAID install. rsync does require working at the Linux command line via a console/telnet session. Were you perhaps looking for an alternative way of running it?
July 15, 201510 yr I ran an SSH session and typed rsync and it said "doesn't exist"... Strange - it certainly exists. Are you sure you got the name correct and all in lower case? rsync is used by the 'mover' process as part of core unRAID functionality. When I type in the rsync command on my system it comes back with all the parameter options. What I think may not be installed as standard is the rsync daemon for running rsync as a server process (rsyncd) but that is rarely needed.
July 15, 201510 yr Author I got it going as you'll see above and then I hit the brick wall, I have a port of 33052 for SSH and of course a password or perhaps I need to make a key? Now I can't find that step by step guide for ssh with rsync in the forum
