July 18, 201510 yr Hello i just recently updated to unraid 6.0.1 and everything was working fine i added the subsonic docker and it worked. Today when i looked at my mapped drives i noticed my music folder was empty i panicked and i checked under \\tower and it shows all my music on the different drives. I also checked shares under Unraid main shares and it's all there under Music/mp3 i see all my files and music i just cant map it. And now my subsonic info all got reset not sure why. And not sure why i can see all my files on the unraid main but when i map it and i check it under explorer as \\tower it shows the music folder as being empty. Only when i check every single drive i see my music.
July 18, 201510 yr Is subsonic your first docker? Did you remember to make sure your config is in a cache-only share? If not, mover moved it to the array. How are you logging in for mapping drives? root user has no network access to shares.
July 18, 201510 yr What version was the update done from? Depending on what version the update was from, it may be necessary to run the New permissions option to make sure the permissions are correct for seeing the files across the network.
July 19, 201510 yr Author It was weird I accessed the shares folder and hit reset and all my stuff is back. Now the issue I'm having is when I choose the folder on subsonic with my music it says folder not found. My share with all my music is Music so I point subsonic to mnt/user/Music I believe. When I choose that on the sicker settings it shows all my music but on the actual subsonic webpage settings it shows as folder not found. And I have user and user0 both contain the same folders with same files. Is this normal? And I upgrade from 5.0.6 do I have to run permission file?
July 19, 201510 yr And I have user and user0 both contain the same folders with same files. Is this normal? The difference between the two is that user includes all files in the share including any currently on the cache drive, while user0 is a view of the files omitting any that are currently on the cache drive.
July 19, 201510 yr Just noticed you have posted this in v5, but you are talking about a docker. I will move it to the correct subforum. What are your volume mappings for subsonic?
July 19, 201510 yr Author On the docker settings they're /mnt/user0/Music same on the actual subsonic page for where it looks for the music. I have tried both user and user0, I got it working the first time I installed it but that's when my music went away and after I fixed I haven't been able to get it running again.

That is not enough information for me to go on. Please post the complete volume mappings, each volume, both container and host.
July 19, 201510 yr The first screenshot you PM'd is what I was after. That screenshot looks OK according to the description, and you are using /mnt/user/Music for the Host path in that screenshot. Note however that the Container volume for that Host path has /music. This means that while you are in subsonic you should be looking for your music in /music, not /mnt/user/Music. You mentioned user0 before. I recommend never using that, since it is really just a housekeeping folder for unRAID to use when moving cached data to the array, and typically you would want to include cached user share data when accessing the share. Is your appdata share set to Use cache disk: Only? Go to the Shares page from your other screenshot, and click on the Compute... link on the same line as appdata and wait for it to come back with the disk usage for that share. Post that screenshot.
July 20, 201510 yr OK, that screenshot indicates that all of your appdata is still on cache and none has been moved to the array. Good. Can I assume that the answer to whether or not your appdata share is cache-only is Yes? As I explained, you tell subsonic to look for your music in the container volume /music, which is what the docker knows about, and not in /mnt/user/music, which only the unRAID host knows about. This is what volume mapping is all about. Since you got that figured out you should be able to get other dockers working pretty easily. Volume mapping is the main stumbling block most people have with dockers. Port mapping works similarly.
July 21, 201510 yr Hey sorry to bother you again so everything is working again subsonic and all but once again lol when i map on windows my music folder it shows it as empty. Through windows im doing \\tower then right clicking and mapping music but it shows it as empty. I think it has to do with subsonic because last time i hit reset on the folder and i removed subsonic i was able to see the music again. this is a image of my shares appdate folder and a picture of my docker settings. Any idea why this keeps happening? Tools - Diagnostics. Post the result.
July 21, 201510 yr You have 2 shares, one named "Music" and another named "music". unRAID considers these to be different (Linux is case-sensitive), but which one you are actually accessing when you try it from Windows is probably the problem because Windows is not case-sensitive. You probably accidentally created one of these yourself when you were configuring some docker or plugin. Any folder at the top level of cache or an array disk is automatically considered a user share. If you meant for your share to be named "Music", then you have probably used /mnt/user/music somewhere and that created the share named "music" or vice-versa. You will have to figure out which one you really want, make sure everything is configured to access the correct one, and get rid of the other one.
