upgrading old drive. Command Timeout or Reallocated Sector Ct more important?

Featured Replies

The 3 I asked about where

Disk 4: 5XW1NY9G

Disk 11: 9WM2GB7P

Disk 13: Z1F0YY1K

I was always worried about disk 1. It was also my app disk for 4-5 years before v6 and a cache drive so it was always running. Just thought about that.

I am going to replace 1 of my older drives.

In my drive Attributes, I have 1 drives that has Command Timeout yellowed, i drive that has Reallocated Sector Ct yellowed and one drive with both in yellow.

Wonder which one I should replace.

Thanks.

Command timeout is definitely not important.  Reallocated count may not be that important, unless changing or very high.  Why not provide the full SMART reports (just attach the diagnostics file), and indicate the serial numbers of the 3 drives?  We can better compare from the full reports.  Personally, I would judge based on age, size, make/model, serious SMART defects, then minor SMART issues last.
