upthetoon Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Hi, Aa few apps were wonky this morning so I rebooted by server. It's come back up with the partiy drive marked as Faulty. This is the yongest drive in my array so I hope its not goosed. I'm going to get the server out and re-seat the connections but can anyone see anything telling in the attached diagnostics? Cheers. ridcully-diagnostics-20151002-1626.zip

upthetoon Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Everything seems fine connection wise. No change when I booted back up. I can't actually see any errors or issues in the syslog.
itimpi Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Once the parity drive has been reported as faulty it will not get reset to good until you have successfully rebuilt parity. The steps to achieve this are: Stop array and Unassign Parity disk Start array with parity disk unassigned. This makes unRAID 'forget' the current parity disk Stop the array and reassign the parity disk Start the array to build parity from the data disks. When the parity build completes it is a good idea to do a parity check to confirm that parity was written correctly. This should report 0 errors.

Fingers crossed it won't happen again...
