Dephcon
So my monthly parity check was going a bit slow, then I noticed disk3 had 1188 "Errors" on the main page, but it's not red-balled SMARTS: 1 Raw Read Error Rate 0x002f 200 200 051 Pre-fail Always - 3 3 Spin Up Time 0x0027 164 160 021 Pre-fail Always - 6783 4 Start Stop Count 0x0032 095 095 000 Old age Always - 5013 5 Reallocated Sector Ct 0x0033 200 200 140 Pre-fail Always - 0 7 Seek Error Rate 0x002e 200 200 000 Old age Always - 0 9 Power On Hours 0x0032 058 058 000 Old age Always - 31311 (3y, 6m, 26d, 15h) 10 Spin Retry Count 0x0032 100 100 000 Old age Always - 0 11 Calibration Retry Count 0x0032 100 100 000 Old age Always - 0 12 Power Cycle Count 0x0032 100 100 000 Old age Always - 156 192 Power-Off Retract Count 0x0032 200 200 000 Old age Always - 115 193 Load Cycle Count 0x0032 193 193 000 Old age Always - 22222 194 Temperature Celsius 0x0022 128 105 000 Old age Always - 22 196 Reallocated Event Count 0x0032 200 200 000 Old age Always - 0 197 Current Pending Sector 0x0032 200 200 000 Old age Always - 0 198 Offline Uncorrectable 0x0030 200 200 000 Old age Offline - 10 199 UDMA CRC Error Count 0x0032 200 200 000 Old age Always - 0 200 Multi Zone Error Rate 0x0008 200 200 000 Old age Offline - 32 It hasn't gotten any worse since the parity check completed and I bought a 4TB disk, which is now pre-clearing. My question is, do I need to replace this disk as soon as the pre-clear is done or can it last a while longer before becoming a serious issue? I'm just a bit out of sorts as I've never really had any pre-failure warnings before, the disks just die, red-ball and I know I have to replace it. Thanks! Quote Link to comment
