It appears that the motherboard now listed in the setup is permanently out of stock. Would this one work in its place?

    Either one should work but I don't think anyone has actually used either one so you won't get any confirmations. I don't see any glaring problems. People have used the 780G/SB700 before and both network controllers have been reported as working on different boards. That pretty much covers the parts that are required to build a successful server.

    Ok. I guess I'm going to take the leap of faith. Thanks all for your help! I'll try to post pictures after I start building the thing, if anyone is interested.
