Mover not moving

Featured Replies

I've got mover set up to move files every day like the default. It has moved a couple of music files, but there are a couple of videos that it will not move. I have tried invoking manually and still nothing. The syslog says "moving Media", but it's not actually moving; the files are still on the cache drive. Any help is much appreciated!

Is something keeping those files open?

Have you tried rebooting the server ?

I hadn't thought about that. It's possible I guess that deluge is keeping them open.

That seems like a ridiculously simple solution that I haven't tried. Gonna feel really silly if that fixes it :o

I'll try these tonight and report back. Thanks!

Thanks trurl and Helmonder. Still not sure what the problem was, probably that something was keeping the files open. But I rebooted, invoked the mover, and voila! Everything has now moved. Thanks again! :D

Maybe your torrents were seeding the files. Try stopping torrent next time and see if they will move.

Yeah, that's my guess too. Figured I'd take the hammer approach this time with the reboot; will try stopping the torrent program next time to see if that is the culprit. Thanks!
