January 3, 201610 yr I just upgraded from Unraid 5.0.5 and I had my ftp user setup to log directly into his home directory but I cant figure out how to do that using 6.1. Is there a way for me to jail a user for the default ftp server?
January 3, 201610 yr No idea, but since you're on v6 it would be probably be prudent to upgrade to one of the Plugins or dockers rather than use the built in ftp server

Is there a way for me to jail a user for the default ftp server? I don't think the builtin ftp in 5.0.5 did this for you, so I think it must have been something you did yourself in 5.0.5, perhaps with a different ftp plugin. How did you do it then?
January 3, 201610 yr Author I created a user with a home directory so that when that user logged in all that was seen was the users ftp directory. I had been using proftp so I guess I might have set it up in there.

The normal linux home directory for a user doesn't really exist in unRAID because there aren't really any linux users except root and even that is not persistent across reboots. There are only SMB/NFS/AFP users, so I think this must have been something provided by the plugin.
January 3, 201610 yr Author I guess I must have done it in the proftp settings then and just misremembered. I will install that plugin and switch to it, thanks.
