gtroyp
I have a drive that just started throwing errors, and is showing as disabled/emulated. Completely unrelated, I was about to swap my 3TB parity drive with a new 4TB replacement. Looking at this, I thought a swap-disable would fit the bill. The parity drive is the same size as the dead drive (3TB) and the new parity drive is 4TB and already pre-cleared. However, having never done this, I always ask first. Anything to watch for be careful of? TIA Quote Link to comment
trurl
If you are doing it right unRAID should tell you what it is going to do when you Start the array. If it doesn't say it is going to copy parity don't proceed. Quote Link to comment
