Unraid shut down itself

Featured Replies

Hi,

Sorry I didn't know what to put in the topic but I woke up this morning to totally shut down unraid server. Can't access any log as since the beginning every time I click on log it just shows blank page. I'm worried about my files and want to find out what caused it, there was no power cut as my other sever on windows still running. Hardware is tested as it's been running my other server for over two years non stop. Is there any way to make unraid start writing logs? Not sure what to do but I can't have server switching itself off like that :(

Thanks for any input.

By shut down, do you mean you had to turn it back on with the power switch?

Yes, it was completely off. Very weird. I don't have UPS yet, need to do some research which  one to get. Nothing else around the house indicates that there was a power cut at night but I'm pretty sure it was some king of power problem as unraid box been working fine for few weeks until yesterday. I'll monitor it to see if it happens again but having working log would certainly help, any way to make it work? As I've mentioned i'ts showing blank page atm.

What do you have on the Dashboard under System Status for the numbers labeled flash : log : docker?

Just to add my two cents, since the update to 6.1.7 my unraid box has shut down twice.

The really weird part is that both times, it was a clean shutdown, not a crash.

Do you have an adblocker or something else blocking your browser? Can you try a different browser or computer to access the webUI?

Thanks, I did try my mobile phone just now and it shows! Why did I never think of that is beyond me. It's not showing on my desktop computer, chrome does have andblocker but its disabled on unraid page, Microsoft Edge has no adblock but still showing blank page. Maybe it's related to my desktop not showing Tower in network, I have to access files on it via IP address?

Thanks again anyway, at least I know that logging is working correctly and can access it if necessary.
