CaptainSpalding
Sorry for the n00b question, but is the unRAID supposed to be seen in My Computer as a HDD? Link to comment
Joe L.
Sorry for the n00b question, but is the unRAID supposed to be seen in My Computer as a HDD? No, not unless you "Map a Network Drive" to a drive letter, then it will. Joe L. Link to comment
wholly
On your computer you should be able to open \\tower (if you use the normal name) and see some "shares" in there. You can right click on it and "Map Network Drive" to get a drive letter that points to that "share" on the unraid server. Link to comment
CaptainSpalding
Hmmm... Here's what I see, where can I map the HD from? Link to comment
CaptainSpalding
Thanks, got it! Link to comment
wholly
As you figured out, that page makes "shares" that can be used to manage where things go and can be mapped by PCs on the network. When you create a "share" in there it can show up when you navigate to \\tower and you can map those shares to drive letters (as mentioned above). (this explanation is for the guy that stops by at 3am looking for the answer). Rob Link to comment
