March 23, 201610 yr Now they telling me that my appdata share is unprotected A single disk cache pool is unprotected. If that drive dies, your data is gone. If you wish to protect your cache pool, you need to add another drive to cache. Identical sized drives are the most space efficient for this. If you add another drive that is smaller than your current cache drive, you will be limited to the smaller drives capacity.
