Files moved from cached share to non-cached share remain is cache

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a problem with caching that I cannot really get my head around.

I have one share with caching that files reside in while getting downloaded, then when the download is finished the download client moves them to another share that doesn't have caching enabled.

Now I have noticed that after the move the files are still in /mnt/cache, which is not really that big and gets filled up with files that I don't want to still be there.

Anyone have any idea about how I can troubleshoot or fix this?

Thanks,

activ

All depends upon how you've got your client settings set up (paths, etc)

Really should post your settings for your d/l client, your host / container volume mappings, etc etc etc

If you can make the program move the files to "/mnt/user0/yourshare" instead of "/mnt/user/yourshare"

user0 excludes the cache disk so files will be moved to the array, this is what the mover uses to get around the issue you're having, normal moving from a cache share will make a folder on the cache disk, even if the share is set to not using cache.

only if you're moving from within the same mount point (/mnt/user passed through).  Hence why I asked for the all the screen shots.

Thanks, that's exactly the info I was missing. I was moving from /user/incomplete to /user/complete, I'll change it.
