Cluster out of range ( > ). Setting to EOF error on boot

Featured Replies

Hi Team

I recently experienced a power failure in my building. When I booted my unRAID server it started spitting out the following on the screen

Cluster "#" out of range ( # > # ). Setting to EOF

And the server just sits there and doesnt get to unRAID console screen.

Is it a issue with my USB boot device?

Regards

Doing a chkdsk on the flash drive on your desktop would be the first thing to do.

Ran Chkdsk and unraid is now reachable over IP (Thank the lord) ... but Parity Check started so will see after that how things went. If I replace my USB Boot Drive , what is process to move my license to new usb?

Since you're on v6, just copy set up a new flash drive, copy everything over from the original and unRaid will complain when it boots up about the key and walk you through getting a new one

Hi All

Ok I have access again to my unRAID system but it looks like alot of files got corrupted on USB. When i login in to the interface I no longer see the "VM" tab. When I go to settings tab and try to "Enable VMs" there is already a "yes" and I cannot save anything in this menu... how can I rebuild the configuration to fix an issue like this without having to rebuild my unRAID system? My array is fine an intact, which is a relief.
