(SOLVED) WebGui network / internet issues

Featured Replies

When Firefox first opens it can take a long time on the detecting plugins popup. Once past this it can sometimes, but not always spin indefinitely on the first tab trying to load the unpaid dashboard tab.

Additionally, opening a new tab to try and go to the unraid forums for example won't resolve anything except for Google and searching within Google does not work.

Internet inside my vm still works and the default gateway and dns server are both set correctly in the unpaid network settings. I'm not sure why these problems have just started occurring today.

Almost sounds like its your desktop having the trouble, not unRaid -> especially since you talk about google search not working.  Have you tried resetting your desktop?  Assigning a static DNS address to your network adapter (also doesn't hurt to do this to unRaid's network settings either)

I currently have a static addressed assigned to the unraid nic mac address in my router.

I feel a bit stupid on this one. One of the first things I tried was resetting my modem (which didn't help mind you). I then discovered we had had storms which may have upset something. I was going through a gigabit switch and back to the modem however so it occurred to me I should try connecting the pc directly to the modem after rebooting and, success. Everything back to normal!

Still need to go diagnose what happened to my ubiquiti unifi router, switch and freenas box but that's another issue :)

This is a reminder for me to re-setup my UPS >_<

Try rebooting the switch.  Those also contain a computer and it sometimes gets hosed up and requires a reboot.  Whenever I have a network issue, I reboot the modem, router and the switches.  (I have four switches in my home network as well as a separate Wireless Access Point.)
