why is appdata being duplicated in the array?

Featured Replies

first time setting up unraid, so bear with me.

i have an "appdata" user share that is set to "Use cache disk: Only" (http://i.imgur.com/XgBanFx.jpg) and i'm pointing my dockers to store data there (http://i.imgur.com/PRA0IBx.jpg).  oddly, the array has the duplicate folder structure and and files (http://i.imgur.com/yWx6k1V.jpg).  also, if i click the "View" button for the share it shows the path as "/mnt/user/appdata" rather than "/mnt/cache/appdata" (http://i.imgur.com/iT2c6fx.jpg)

am i missing something?  why is that data on the array and the share seem to have the wrong path?

do i need to exclude the two array drives when creating the share?

/mnt/user encompasses cache only shares also.  Doesn't mean that the files are stored on the array.

If you click "calculate" for the share size, after it finishes (could take a bit) it will tell you which disks the files are actually on.

Fix Common Problems plugin will also point this out also (in a second or two)

As another alternative, you could browse your disk1 and disk2 shares - you shouldn't see appdata on either of them.
