I'm probably saying stuff here that's obvious to many, but ...

 

* Mac OS does NFS automount out of /net.

 

What this means is that, on your Mac, you can access the NFS shares of your unRAID box as /net/<ip-address>/mnt/user/<share-name>. If you want that integrated into Finder, do something along the lines of the following, where stuff in <> needs to fit your specifics.

 

> ln -s  /net/<ip-address>/mnt/user/<share-name> ~/<my-tower>

For this to work, the insecure option must be set for the disk and user NFS shares on unRAID (unRaid Main menu, Shares Tab).

I vote for just out of the box Avahi support. Netatalk has always been squirely for me, and the only thing I really miss about AFP is not having to manually connect to my Unraid box on my hackintosh.
