June 21, 201610 yr Hello my Unraid box becomes unresponsive (Cannot access HTTP, Shares, FTP) terminal window monitor shows no signal. Only course is a hard reboot. this happens frequently. Since the logs are deleted upon restart, I wrote a script that gets the logs every 3 minutes. I have attached the last 10 logs (3 mins apart) before the latest crash. Perhaps someone can help My setup GIGABYTE GAH110MA 1151 MATX INTEL BOX INTEL CORE I3-6100 CRUCIAL 16GB Ram 3 Hitachi 2GB Drives 1 SANDISK 120GB SSD UnraidLogs.zip
June 21, 201610 yr I don't see anything unusual in the logs that would indicate a problem. Also, all 10 logs are identical. Is that you that connected? Jun 20 04:14:53 mediapc vsftpd[20605]: connect from 106.185.43.131 (106.185.43.131) Also based on the time stamp of your log, it was over 12 hours since something happened and the last item logged.

That way it will be current up to and including (hopefully) the crash tail -f /var/log/syslog > /boot/syslog.txt
June 21, 201610 yr Author Yes I realized after they are identical.. I noticed the server stopped responding at appx 4:45PM (the last log was written 4:39PM).. No that IP address resolves to Japan! Perhaps I should firewall the port 21, but still the non-responsive error remains Will try the tail option as well
June 21, 201610 yr Keep us updated. I'm having the exact same issue. (as an fyi not to take away from your thread : https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=49649.0 ) I'm in the process of testing if it's hardware or software on mine, did it work in the past for you?
June 21, 201610 yr Will try the tail option as well Another option as well if the tail doesn't yield another useful is to install Fix Common Problems, and pop it into troubleshooting mode. It does a tail, and also logs some extra information every ten minutes that may (or may not) be useful / relevant
December 11, 20169 yr Author Thought I would post back.. I had a windows 10 VM running.. I suspected it could be the culprit so I disabled it.. Unraid has not crashed in weeks now. Perhaps something inside windows 10, sleep or hibernate or something. I installed a 64 bit windows 7 and it works fine..
