cache drive space error

Featured Replies

hih,

I have a very strange issue. i'm trying to copy about 50GB to my appdata folder on the cache drive, a 512 GB SSD, using MC.

however I'm getting the error that I have not enough space left. if i'm checking the GUI its showing me about 230GB free space.http://lime-technology.com/forum/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif

I checked and also from the CL its showing that I have enough space.

Filesystem      1K-blocks      Used  Available Use% Mounted on

/dev/sde1        500107576  236276652  263785668  48% /mnt/cache

i'm running on version 6.2.0-beta23

is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Maybe a screenshot of mc showing how you are trying to do the copy.

Maybe a screenshot of mc showing how you are trying to do the copy.

Additionally, if you are copying to /mnt/user/appdata instead of /mnt/cache/appdata then the appdata's minimum free space setting (share settings) will take effect.  You might want to check that also.

I checked all. I was copying in MC as usually and in this case directly to /mnt/cache/appdate

what I noticed was before I started to copy the 50GB I had about 230GB free. after copying 10GB I got the first error message that the disk would be full. also in the unraid log I saw errors that some dockers could not start because of no disk space.

when I then checked on the console the disk was full, strange.

I backup all data again and format the cache disk with XFS.

restoring at the moment all the date.
