Long story short, I purchased an EVGA 1070 on impulse. Now I need to figure out the rest of the components for a gaming Unraid build. I am a novice.

 

Budget: 800-900 dollars.

 

CPU: Is i7 6700k a good choice, seems to be very popular among gamers. In conjunction with Unraid is there something else I should look at?

 

Motherboard: I am looking for a motherboard that can handle 6-8 drives.

 

Case: Good looking silent case that can fit 8 drives with good airflow.

 

Power Supply: ?

    Maybe this is the wrong forum to post. Incase anyone comes looking, here are the parts I decided up on.

     

    CPU - i7 6700k

    Mobo - Asus Z170 PRO

    PSU - EVGA 850W 80+

     

    Now I need to look for a CPU cooler and a case.
