user permission error with pftpd plugin

Featured Replies

I was giving a buddy access to my ftp server. I had his account completely setup once before. He said at that time he didn't need it anymore, so I deleted his user account. Now he does have a need to use it. So I set him up once again using the same user name, and the Proftpd would give him a error saying incorrect login. I deleted his user account, and made a new one, with a user name never used before on my system. And it works perfectly now.

What I assume is happening, is that even though, I have deleted a user, and need to add that user again (using same the user name) Unraid must be getting confused and denies access. I don't think that when you delete a user Unraid never actually completely deletes said user, this causes conflicts when adding that user name again. How would I go about troubleshooting this issue? I am almost certain it is a Unraid problem and not a Proftd problem, since Proftd uses Unraid user acounts, for user management (which I don't like).
