gef0rce
Hi I have a Ubuntu VM i built and it has been reserved 32G of memory. However when I boot the VM and perform my lab work . The problem I have is that the VM consumes 32G even though it is not using 32G . I noticed this when I look at the unraid dashboard and see the memory consumption still being used/reserved. Am I suppose to install the Balloon driver to manage the memory on the Ubuntu Guest? If yes , how do I do this? Quote Link to comment
f3dora
Did you set a lower initial memory lower than max memory (advanced settings in the VM creation menu)? I am not 100% sure but i think you dont have to install the VirtIO drivers on linux. Quote Link to comment
