September 24, 20169 yr I have a 6TB drive I just purchased, everything else is smaller (500GB - 4TB). Since largest drive has to be parity, does it mean 2TB of space on it will be wasted? Can unRaid create a 4TB partition (same size as largest data drive) and use rest for data - I'm guessing not. So do parity drives use a 1:1 mapping of hdd blocks/sectors?
September 24, 20169 yr No, you cant do a y of that, so as you said you will have 2tb of space that is only on the pairt drive.
