Qemu 64 bit guest agent does not install

Featured Replies

I have not been able to get the qemu 64 bit quest agent to install on a 64 bit Windows VM.  The answer was to install the 32 bit version.

RobJ, I think the unRAID 6 manual should note to install the 32 bit version, and not the 64 bit version.

I'm on Win7x64 and a really old version (0.1.96) of the drivers.  That installs for me.  So it may just be later versions of the driver or windows that have the problem.  7.0.0.10 is what the guest agent says is it's version in "Programs and Features" after I installed and qemu-ga-x64.msi is the file I installed.  That VM only had a nic passed through to it am using RDP to connect if that makes a difference as well.

I think it is with the newer drivers past about 100.

Guess that makes me glad I never updated my drivers.  Although I was thinking about it since 6.2 is stable.

Do you know any problems with NOT using x64 bit version in case I DO upgrade?

I don't think it makes any difference.
