October 31, 20169 yr Trying to update to the latest version of UnRaid by using the plugin tab. I get the following error: I'm sure this problem is not on my end. Anyone got an idea?

If i paste the url in my browser i get access denied. https://s3.amazonaws.com/dnld.lime-technology.com/stable/unRAIDServer-6.2-x86_64.zip If I right-click on this link and choose "Save Link as", I can download the file. (I know this is not what you want to do...) Have you upgraded unRAID before using the plugin tab?
October 31, 20169 yr Author if i do this i still get a failed - forbidden message. This is the first time i do the upgrade.
October 31, 20169 yr Community Expert What happens when you try it from this page? https://lime-technology.com/download/
October 31, 20169 yr Author But this doesn't solve my problem, i still can't update. Changed my dns to opendns but still nog possible.
October 31, 20169 yr Community Expert From what version are you trying to update? (I seem to recall that the plugin method of updating does not always work if you are skipping versions. But I can't remember the exact details...)
October 31, 20169 yr Community Expert First read the first two posts in this topic to determine if there is any action required on your part after your upgrade: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=51874.0 I am not sure when all of these changes were inserted during the beta and rc process. I think you are probably OK but better to safe than sorry. Next check to see if the file bzroot-gui is present in the root of your Flash Drive. If it is, copy over bzroot-gui, bzroot, and bzimage. You can now reboot. If it is not, you will also have to copy over the syslinux.cfg file from the syslinux folder to the same folder on your Flash Drive in addition to these three files before you reboot.
November 1, 20169 yr This is still a problem with the .plg file that is pointed to by 6.2.0 release candidates being a 404 link. (Forbidden is also S3's generic response for 404 errors, unless a custom 404 error page is configured and the bucket has generic web hosting turned on.)

(Forbidden is also S3's generic response for 404 errors, unless a custom 404 error page is configured and the bucket has generic web hosting turned on.) This issue probably needs to be posted in the 6.2 release thread. The odds that anyone from LimeTech will see this in this thread are remote...
November 2, 20169 yr The Additional Upgrade Advice has now hit the maximum character count for a post, so instead I'll put both the changed method and the old method of upgrading unRAID here. It's normally best to upgrade unRAID from within the program itself, by going to the Plugins page and updating from there. But there appears to be a change in the unRAID download server that is not allowing users with older releases, older than 6.2.1, to upgrade directly, perhaps because the older server is not showing the newer releases. Once you have updated to 6.2.1 or later, then there's no problem going forward. But to get there, you need to upgrade your unRAID server using a special one time method, or by doing it the old way. The best way is to go to the Plugins page, Install Plugin tab, and paste this link: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/limetech/webgui/6.2/plugins/unRAIDServer/unRAIDServer.plg If you for some reason want or need to do it the old way, here it is: - First, download the latest unRAID distro from the Lime Technology Download page. - Extract the following files to your unRAID boot drive: --- bzimage --- bzroot --- bzroot-gui --- license.txt --- changes.txt --- make_bootable.bat --- make_bootable_mac --- memtest --- syslinux/syslinux.cfg- (Note: if your unRAID boot menu does not have a menu item for booting into the new GUI, then copy syslinux/syslinux.cfg- to syslinux/syslinux.cfg) - Reboot You should now be running the latest version.
