bobloblaw
Ive searched and have found a few threads talking about this issue but none matching my issue exactly. Ive read the "linux ate my ram" post someone else responded with and that is not the issue. Im never able to use past that 7.822. I have VMs that will not start if im using the 8GB unraid has allocated me. How did I get unraid to allow me to assign that memory to my VM and what is it doing with it in the first place? John_M
How many DIMMs do you have and does the BIOS recognise the full amount of RAM? Since you have a little less than half your installed amount available it looks as though some of your RAM is not being recognised. I understand that some SAS HBAs can interfere with RAM detection or prevent booting altogether. See here: http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=29236.msg262090#msg262090 Link to comment
