December 4, 20169 yr I keep getting errors about "current pending sectors" and then I get a notification that the disk has returned to normal. The problem...is that the drive it says has pending sectors is no longer in the array and is sitting next to me on my desk. Can anyone shed some light on what is causing this or how to alleviate the problem? "unRAID device sdi SMART health [197]: 12-04-2016 03:14 PM Warning [ZION] - current pending sector is 20"
December 4, 20169 yr Also, did you replace the drive or do a new config and remove the drive from the array, or is the array running in degraded mode emulating the missing drive?
December 4, 20169 yr Author What version of unRAID? It's version 6.2.4 Also, did you replace the drive or do a new config and remove the drive from the array, or is the array running in degraded mode emulating the missing drive? I replaced the drive and rebuilt it from parity. Should I add some logs or does this make sense without them?
December 5, 20169 yr Community Expert Is the drive still installed? It might be that it is just warning you about an attached drive instead of an array drive. Also, you might try preclearing that drive to see if the pending sectors will become reallocated.

I might try to pre-clear it again. Could this have affected parity or marked sectors as unusable on other drives somehow?
