[SOLVED] (6.2) xfs_buff_find error after power issues

Featured Replies

Hey everyone!

Last night I had some power issues and my server rebooted 3 or 4 times. After it stabilized I noticed I couldn't get into the WebGUI so I SSH'd in. I noticed that any command I ran seemed to hang the SSH session permanently so I switched to the local console where I saw the same behavior.

Since I couldn't do any real troubleshooting, nor do I know how, I grabbed the diagnostics to see if that would help. Going through syslog I noticed:

Dec 18 11:59:36 unraid kernel: XFS (md1): _xfs_buf_find: Block out of range: block 0x7fffffff8, EOFS 0xe8e08870

I figured that meant there was a corruption on md1 (/dev/disk1) so I swapped it with another 2tb drive. After rebooting and hitting the parity sync I see the same issues with XFS on md1, even though it's a new disk. I've stopped troubleshooting so I don't make things worse...

Is there anything I can do to resolve the issues and get back to my data? Even if I can only get one of my VM disks off of it I'd be fine losing the data.

Let me know if there's any more info that I can gather!

Swapping the drive did nothing, because the parity information reflects the corruption present on the original disk1

You need to Check Disk File System on disk 1

And get an UPS. ;)

Thanks so much! The UPS is definitely on the list and the array is back online without any noticable data loss.

Thanks :D
