March 4, 201016 yr Does anyone know why "My Network Places" is only showing disk1-disk10? It doesn't automatically show my shares or disks 11-13. Thanks!

December 17, 201015 yr I'm having a similar issue in that since I've added two new WD-EARS drives, I can see disk3-disk9 , however disk1 and disk2 have disappeared ( although I can still access them directly through my address bar ). What I have noticed is that UnRaid assigned the new drives as: \dev\sdb \dev\sdc And the drives that use to be these two devices have been changed to: \dev\sdg \dev\sdj or \dev\sdf I see what happened, but I don't see how to fix it so all drives show up. Suggestions?

Suggestions? It does not matter which "sd" device unRAID assigns. Those are assigned as the OS initializes the hardware during the boot process and may vary from boot to boot. The PCI ports are actually used in combination with the drive model/serial numbers in unRAID. Windows had the limitation on showing network shares... (I've heard) Joe L.
December 18, 201015 yr I have never heard of any limitation for showing exposed shares on a network. I'm no expert but I can see all my user shares and shared drives under Network (Win 7). For example, 22 x 1TB user shares on another windows box (HTPC). I'm not using shares on the unRaid box and all 6 drives show.
December 18, 201015 yr I've not had that problem either, there is a limitation in the number of drive letters in windows which is 22 + a drive and c drive I think. I always map my network drives in windows anyway, I think it's tidier and easier to manage. Try mapping your drives and see if you can see them all under "my computer.
December 18, 201015 yr So....assuming Windows can handle all my shares any idea where to start with troubleshooting? Did the orginal user who posted the message here ever get all his shares to appear?
