starcat
Hi there, has anyone run Vortexbox (it is a Fedora based minimalistic environment with pre-installed SlimCenter/Squeezebox Server) on VMware on unRAID? The Vortexbox appliance is rock solid and optimized towards Slim. You can download the iso image here: http://vortexbox.org/ Burn it to a CD, and install it on a PC of your choice. Latest SqueezeBox Server comes pre-installed and configured, along with a lot of other user-friendly packages. This is an ideal solution if you're not into tinkering and installing software yourself. Runs on a Linux Fedora 11 platform. Easy software updates. Far superior to any underpowered NAS, and also better than fiddling with installing Squeeze Server directly on unRAID, in my opinion.
