April 9, 20179 yr I was been using the Auto Fan Control plugin for the latest months and it was working like charm. Suddenly and after upgrading to v6.3.3 it stopped working. It doesn't detect sensors any more. Few months ago it was installed along with Nerd Tools pack perl version and detected relevant sensors with success. I also upgraded to the latest perl version but again nothing. (Mobo: ASRock - 970 Pro3 R2.0) Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
April 11, 20179 yr I have a situation that might be related related to Dynamix plugins that just stop working. Upgrade to 6.3.2 or 6.3.3 has the CPU utilization percentages where they stop working shortly after boot. Look through your logs. I'm finding maybe related nastiness. You might try to observe if your seeing anything peculiar or similar. April 23, 20179 yr Author Actually I cannot find anything unusual in logging. However after executing sensors command I only get the following output: root@Tower:~# sensors fam15h_power-pci-00c4 Adapter: PCI adapter power1: 42.30 W (crit = 45.05 W) k10temp-pci-00c3 Adapter: PCI adapter temp1: +33.8°C (high = +70.0°C) (crit = +70.0°C, hyst = +67.0°C) root@Tower:~# Moreover after executing the detection process as seen in the below link: http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Setting_up_CPU_and_board_temperature_sensing and after copying the sensors.conf file to /etc/sensors.d path: cp /boot/config/sensors.conf /etc/sensors.d When I finally reboot system, the copied conf file under /etc/sensors.d path is somehow disappeared. (?) On the other hand dynamix system temp plugin show the below conf file contents: root@Tower:~# more /boot/config/plugins/dynamix.system.temp/sensors.conf # sensors chip "nct6776-isa-0290" ignore "temp7" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" ignore "temp8" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" ignore "temp9" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" ignore "fan3" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" ignore "fan4" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" ignore "fan5" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" label "temp2" "CPU Temp" chip "k10temp-pci-00c3" label "temp1" "MB Temp" chip "nct6776-isa-0290" label "fan2" "Array Fan" Again the Auto Fan Control plugin cannot detect any PWM controller Edited April 23, 20179 yr by quad
April 25, 20179 yr You and I don't have common symptoms. Though we seem to share various issues with the Dynamix. I see numerous dynamix references in the syslog that appear to be related in time with various VM's just abending. Additionally my dashboard CPU utilization percentage metrics just stop working sometime after boot. My issues started with 6.3.2 and continue with 6.3.3. I've ripped out all the Dynamix plugins for fan, temp, stats, information, schedules, streams to see if this changes anything. I have an ASRock H97M Pro4 MB. Before I ripped out the plugins it was able to find I believe three PWM controllers on my board. I can say with decent certainty that this is related to theC PU percentage utilization counters stopping a short time after boot.
