May 16, 20179 yr Hi All, I am trying to attach a 3D Printer (wanhao i3 plus) to unRAID to then pass through to a Docker (http://octoprint.org/). Connecting the printer I can see the USB device attached; Bus 001 Device 006: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter But I never see a driver assigning a TTYUSB0 or TTYACM0. From my research this uses a CH341/CH340 driver which I do not believe is included in unRAID. I have had a look at compiling Kernals but I think this is over my head, any help would be appreciated.
May 28, 20179 yr Author Just a bump, would love to see support for this driver added. I can see that this has happened for a similar request previously, let me know if not possible.
January 18, 20188 yr Another request to add extra drivers. For home automation (RF Link gateway) I use Arduino Mega 2560 with CH340G USB to TTL converter. When I connect it to unRAID 6.4.0_rc21b Arduino is recognized as: Bus 004 Device 002: ID 1a86:7523 QinHeng Electronics HL-340 USB-Serial adapter I want to pass it through to Domoticz container but setting extra paramerer as ''--device=/dev/bus/usb/004/002'' doesn't work. I suspect it is due to lack of CH340G driver in unRAID as device doesn't get assigned as TTYUSB. Am I missing something here? Is there any chance to include CH340 driver to unRAID so it could be more for appropriate as a base OS for DIY home automation projects? Edited January 19, 20188 yr by wisebear
January 20, 20188 yr Anyone here with CH340 chip properly assigned and working on unRAID? I have replaced USB cable and tried with USB 2.0 port but it doesn't help. On the other hand Arduino is detected properly under Windows. Do you have any idea what else to try?

February 8, 20197 yr just stumbled upon this topic on using octoprint in docker with unraid - how do i do that? i don't understand how to add that docker if it isn't in an unraid-compatible repository. i would appreciate any instructions and links you could share.
