USB flash directly for internal USB fan header on motherboard

Featured Replies

I found Jomp's suggestion in stock here

I just want to confirm that it will indeed work for my boot usb?

My Mobo

There is no reason why it shouldn't.  The mobo really doesn't distinguish between the mobo headers for USB and those that are brought out the rear/front.  To bring the USB connection out the front they normally give you a little cable to connect a header on the mobo to the connector on the cases front panel.  You will be using this adapter in lieu of such a cable.  On my mobo there were 6 USB ports.  Two on the rear hard wired directly to the mobo, two on the front connected by cables and two unused. I connected the adapter to one of the unused ones.
