How to get an IPV6 address for unRAID

Featured Replies

I want to set the networking to IPV4+IPV6 and have a static IPV4 address and an automatically generated IPV6 address.  The networking UI wants me to enter a static IPV4 and a static IPV6 address when I select static address.  How do I get it to generate it's own, or DHCP an IPV6 address?

EDIT: With the ability to now assign fixed IP addresses to dockers, I have just set unRAID to 'Automatic' IP addresses.  No need for static address on unRAID any longer.

Another possibility is to create "static" entries on your router (DHCP server).

That's what I ended up doing.  A lot cleaner than manual settings in unRAID.
