August 11, 20178 yr Instead of running chmod 777 ./* I ran chmod 777 /* I know I'm lucky I wasn't performing a rm function. If I re run the permissions will that apply to the file system as well or just the disks and their shares?
August 11, 20178 yr Community Expert That is not a recursive option so it will only set the permissions on the top level folders. Rebooting will ensure they are reset to defaults as unRAID is unpacked into RAM each time it loads. Having said that I doubt having those permissions on the top level folders matters - it is their contents that matter and they will be unchanged.
