Adding drive

Featured Replies

I've had the "unformatted" issue a few times in the past.  I think it was always after a reboot, but it just happened to day, so I can precise in my reporting:

Powered down

Added drive

Booted

All existing drives appeared as "unformatted"

Stopped array

Restarted array

All drives then appeared and functioned as normal

[i have not yet added the new drive within unraid]

When you say you have not yet added the drive within unraid, do you mean that unraid does not recognize the drive because you have not assigned it via the Devices page?  Also, what is your motherboard/CPU?

Correct:  I have not added it to the Device pages yet.  Waiting until later today to start that process.

Intel Core Duo E7200.  2GB DDR2. MSI P6NGM-FIH mobo.
