Array stops immediately

Featured Replies

Hi

I have just started my very first unRaid setup. The setup is completley new, and has never been started before.

I have just added the following discs to the array:

One 8TB for parity

One 8TB in the array

Two Cache SSD discs. (One pretty old)

When I navigate to Main, add the discs and click on Start, the GUI immediately says "Array stopped"

Attached is the diagnostics.zip

I'm a total noob in unRaid and Linux, so please have patience with me:)

2 ports of your SATA controller (the ones where the two 8TB disks are connected) are set to IDE, enter the bios and change them to AHCI, not the first time I've seen strange issues when they are like that on similar AMD boards.

Thank you!

I sat them to SATA, and then it worked!

I am having a problem getting ver 6 to connect. was told to run the diagnostics and post the results. I did that and cant find the zip file on my flash drive, it said it was done and saved it. I dont see any .zip files. where did you find it?

Look in the logs folder/directory, if you ran the command from the command line (or PuTTY).  If you used the GUI, you will find it in the download folder/directory that your browser uses to save its downloads.

I ran the command from the command prompt.on the unraid box. I am unable to start the gui. I then shutdown the unraid box and plunged the flash drive into my windows box and looked at the files on my flash drive  in file manager. There are no log files on my flash drive. there is no logs folder directory. I dont know  the commands to type in terminal mode either. guess im screwed.

Put the Flash Drive into your Windows computer and run chkdsk on it.
