(sorry, not trying to thread crap at all, just a suggestion as I am looking at buying this exact item...just been waiting for a sale from the egg). Link to comment

I did not think the discount was sufficient to offset a shorter warranty on the refurbished item. (I already own one AR1600 and am using it in the den with XBMC, probably will get something similar for use in the theater at some point to replace the very old HTPC there. I've got time on my side.)
