Is it a drive problem?

Difficult to say with USB devices, errors are not very helpful, SMART also has no standard attributes, try running an extended SMART test if possible.

It does have filesystem corruption, likely from all the disconnects.

SMART isn’t supported.

Maybe I’ll try putting another disk in the enclosure and see if the errors persist.

No errors with a different drive installed but I still see this-

Oct 15 17:02:17 Brunnhilde kernel: usb 4-2.2: reset SuperSpeed USB device number 13 using xhci_hcd
Oct 15 17:02:18 Brunnhilde kernel: usb 4-2.2: reset SuperSpeed USB device number 13 using xhci_hcd

It's not shown as an error so is it normal?

Those look like USB disconnect errors, but USB is bad at error handling, hence why USB disks are not recommended.
