Getting into a command line?

Featured Replies

I'm trying to set up some scripts for doing backups (I use idrive). I can't find a way to get into a command shell on by unraid server. I've tried old-fashioned ssh as well as the "shell in a box" plugin with similar results.

In either case, the system seems to accept my credentials. But the moment I get past the login, it just logs me back out, terminating the session. Is there something else I've got to do to make this work?

ssh [email protected] doesn't work?

I had been trying to use one of the Users I created in the web interface.

Doing this your way, it asks for a password. I can't find any documentation on what that default password might be.

The only interactive user is 'root'. All the other users do not have permissions to login.

So when it asks me what the password is for root, what do I do?

default root password is blank. Just hit Enter.

I'm in now, with the blank password. Thanks!
